Nhà máy Nhiệt điện Sông Hậu 1 vừa được khánh thành chiều nay 16-7, với sự tham dự của Thủ tướng Phạm Minh Chính. Đây là nhà máy sản xuất điện lớn với tổng vốn đầu tư 2 tỉ USD, đóng góp cho lưới điện quốc gia khoảng 7,3 tỉ kWh/năm.

Nhà máy có tổng mức đầu tư hơn 43.000 tỉ đồng (tương đương khoảng 2 tỉ USD), khởi công tháng 5-2015, đã hoàn thiện thủ tục liên quan, được công nhận và đưa vào vận hành thương mại từ ngày 6-5-2022.
Đến nay nhà máy đã phát điện, cung cấp cho hệ thống điện quốc gia trên 2 tỉ kWh (bao gồm cả sản lượng điện trong giai đoạn chạy thử nghiệm thu), đóng góp cho lưới điện quốc gia khoảng 7,3 tỉ kWh/năm, góp phần đáp ứng nhu cầu phụ tải của khu vực Tây Nam Bộ và cả nước.
Tập đoàn Dầu khí quốc gia Việt Nam (PVN), đơn vị chủ đầu tư, cam kết vận hành nhà máy an toàn, ổn định và hiệu quả, tiếp tục phối hợp tốt hơn nữa với Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam huy động tối ưu sản lượng điện sản xuất của nhà máy.
Phối hợp với chính quyền địa phương trong bảo đảm an ninh, an toàn, phối hợp thực hiện tốt chính sách an sinh xã hội và bảo đảm môi trường cho người dân trong vùng dự án.
Hiện tổng công suất lắp đặt các nhà máy điện của PVN là 5.405 MW, chiếm hơn 7% tổng công suất lắp đặt và chiếm khoảng 10% tổng sản lượng điện phát toàn hệ thống điện quốc gia. Kết quả này khẳng định vững chắc vai trò và vị thế của PVN với tư cách là nhà sản xuất điện lớn thứ 2 tại Việt Nam
Phát biểu tại đây, Thủ tướng Phạm Minh Chính biểu dương cán bộ, kỹ sư, công nhân, người lao động của PVN, tổng thầu đã tham gia thi công trực tiếp trên công trường, bảo đảm tiến độ, đáp ứng các yêu cầu về chất lượng và bảo vệ môi trường.
Thủ tướng đánh giá nhà máy được khánh thành có ý nghĩa rất quan trọng, vượt qua những khó khăn do dịch bệnh, tranh chấp pháp lý và giá thành, góp phần bảo đảm an ninh năng lượng - một trong những cân đối lớn của nền kinh tế trong bối cảnh có nhiều khó khăn hiện nay.
Đồng thời góp phần thúc đẩy tăng trưởng, thúc đẩy chuyển dịch cơ cấu kinh tế cả nước và tỉnh Hậu Giang theo hướng công nghiệp hóa.
Doanh thu hằng năm của nhà máy dự kiến khoảng 15.000 - 20.000 tỉ đồng, góp phần quan trọng vào tổng doanh thu của PVN và đóng góp đáng kể cho khoản thu ngân sách của trung ương và địa phương.
Đáng chú ý, chủ đầu tư và tổng thầu đều là các pháp nhân Việt Nam. Quá trình thi công đã giúp tiết kiệm 500 tỉ đồng so với tổng mức đầu tư được phê duyệt. Nhà máy cũng sử dụng công nghệ hiện đại, thân thiện với môi trường.
